No. It reads public data and shows it as published. It never calls a winner: a result is "unofficial" until the returning officer validates it, and the app says so on every screen.

Broadcasters project winners; MapleBallot does not. It shows the count as Elections Canada publishes it, refreshed about every minute, with the number of polls reporting. The figures can lag a few minutes behind the source.

It appears only when Elections Canada's Official Voting Results mark the candidate as elected. Before that, the app shows who is leading, never who has won.

Notifications are off until you enable them in Settings. They cover only the ridings and votes you follow, and only votes in the current year. Delivery depends on Apple's push service and is not guaranteed.

Yes. It follows your iPhone's language, and Settings → Language switches it inside the app.
